Subscription Update Obituary
     Janice L. (Raymond) McQuade, 71, passed away peacefully at home on October 29.
Born in Worcester, Jan spent more than half her life as a Millbury resident. She was predeceased by her parents, Catherine (Howard) Raymond and Roland E. Raymond, Sr. She leaves behind her husband, Paul J. McQuade, Jr., of Millbury; her daughter and son-in-law, Meghan and Thomas Boyle of England; her son and daughter-in-law, P.J. and Katie McQuade of Millbury; and her grandchildren, Max, Audrey and Norah, who were her greatest joys in life.
     Jan took pride in her large, loving family, including siblings Ruth Banks, Richard Raymond, Robert Raymond, Maureen DiPadua, David Raymond and Douglas Raymond. She was predeceased by siblings Norma Raymond, Joan Raymond, Roland Raymond, Roger Raymond, Jean Banks, Thomas Raymond and Mary Jane Hamilton.
     Working as a nurse for 51 years, caring for others was Jan’s gift to the world. Notably, she worked at St. Vincent’s Hospital for over 20 years. Most recently, she worked at Brookdale at Eddy Pond. She won accolades for outstanding patient care throughout her career.
Janice was an exceptional human being. Her love warmed others, her laughter was infectious and her drive was limitless. Her presence left a lasting imprint on her loved ones and her community.
     Jan’s funeral will be held Monday, November 5 at 10:00am in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 4 from 1:00 until 4:00 pm in the funeral home. In .
