Subscription Update Obituary

     Jane J. (Niewiera) Gervais, 88, of Ocala, Florida, formerly of Millbury, died Jan. 8th in Florida, surrounded by her family.

Her husband, Raymond R. Gervais died in 1997. She leaves a daughter, Jane C. McConnaughey and her husband, Gary of Ocala, FL; a sister, Rita A. Niewiera of Worcester; three grandchildren, Shawn Magill of MA, Keri Sanders of Ohio and Randy McConnaughey of Mn; seven great grandchildren; several nephews and nieces. She is predeceased by her parents, Boleslaw and Melanie (Lankowski) Niewiera, three brothers, John, William, Walter, Alexander and her twin Chester, a sister, Frances Dauksz.

Jane graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester. She was a clerk for the Worcester Police Department in off duty assignment office, retiring 20 years ago. She retired to Florida several years ago.

Family and friends will honor Jane’s life by gathering for calling hours from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 15th at Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street in Millbury. Jane’s Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16th in St. Brigid Church, 59 N. Main St. in Millbury. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a Hospice of the donor’s choice.
