Subscription Update Obituary

     James “Jim” Francis Malley, Jr., 59, of Auburn passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester. He was the husband of Ann Marie (Levasseur) Malley.

Born, raised and educated in Worcester, Jim was the son of the late James F. and Claire T. (Fassett) Malley.

After graduating from Holy Name High School in 1977, Jim enlisted and was proud to have served in the United States Marine Coprs from 1978 until 1981.

Survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Ann Marie, Jim leaves behind his children Katie L. Malley of Palm Harbor, FL, Kristen M. Malley and Thomas R. Seymour of North Oxford, Jonathan D. Malley and his fiancé Colleen Moretti of Port Orange, FL, siblings; Michael A. Malley and his wife Mary of Worcester, Daniel E. Malley and his wife Mary of Worcester, and Carolyn A. Kneeland and her husband Scott of Sterling. He also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family.
Jim was a Civil Engineer and owner of Malley Engineering, Inc. for more than 25 years and worked as a Board of Health Agent for the Towns of Oxford, Charlton, Millbury, Sutton, Northbridge, Douglas, Uxbridge and Blackstone.

He will be most remembered as a family man and a man of faith. He loved to laugh, have fun and loved to play practical jokes. He was the former Scout Master for Troop 121 in Auburn. He loved hiking with his son. He loved football, especially the Miami Dolphins and the Florida State Seminoles.

The family of Jim invites all to visit with them between the hours of 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Steet, Auburn. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Britton-Wallace Funeral Home. At his family’s request, burial will be held in private.
