Jacqueline M. Moore, 86, of Auburn died peacefully on Friday, August 10, 2018 after declining health in the loving company of her family at Rose Monahan Hospice House in Worcester. She was predeceased by her husband Robert L. Moore.

Jacqueline was born and raised in Worcester, the daughter of the late George O. and Lillian (Liberty) Desourdis. Following high school, she became a Certified Nursing Assistant, working at Worcester area nursing homes.

In 1953 Jacqueline married Robert and they settled in Auburn. Soon they began their family and Jacqueline began to focus on their needs. She truly enjoyed being able to tend to their needs and create a happy home for them. Her most cherished moments were while spending time with her family, whether it was making meals or sitting around the table to help with homework.

She is survived by her children Leilani A. Benoit and her husband Kevin of Worcester, Gregory W. Moore and his wife Carol of Leominster, Marilyn L. Perron and her husband Timothy of Leicester, Michael E. Moore and his wife Jennifer of Worcester, grandchildren, Stephen Lund, Jeanne Benoit, Kelly Thorne, David Lund, Nicholas Moore, Samantha Smith, Robert Benoit, Nolan Moore, eight great grandchildren, sister Marilyn Colella of Worcester and many nieces and nephews. Jacqueline was predeceased by her siblings Eloise Curll, Jeanne Davis, Robert Desourdis, and Kenneth Desourdis.

Her family would like to thank the staff at Rose Monahan Hospice House for all of their kind and compassionate care during these last days.

Jacqueline’s family will honor her wishes by holding funeral services in private and request that donations in her memory be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 6665-8516.
