Subscription Update Obituary

  Ida T. (DiTaranto) Gingerelli, 89, of Snoqualmie, Washington formerly of Worcester passed away peacefully, Thursday, June 12th 2008, surrounded by members of her devoted family.
Ida was born in Worcester, on April 14th 1919, her parents were the late Michael and Elizabeth (Perrone) DiTaranto. She grew up in Worcester attended Worcester Public Schools worked and raised her family in Worcester before retiring to Florida in 1982. She also lived in such places as California and Nevada before moving to Washington in 2007 to live with her granddaughter Cheryl Miller and her family.
  Ida is survived by her beloved husband and partner of 66 years, George J. Gingerelli; her three devoted children, George M. Gingerelli and his wife Nancy of Henderson Nevada, Carmella Dautoff and her husband Steve of Aptos, California, and Elizabeth Grigarauskas of Holden; two brothers and two sisters, Peter and Vito DiTaranto, Rosemarie Robinson and Rose DiPilla all of Worcester; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. A son in law Richard Grigarauskas and four brothers, Frank, Joseph, Vincent and Angelo DiTaranto all pre deceased her.
  Ida partnered with her husband , George for more than 25 years in operating a printing business in Worcester under American Printing Corporation and GIG Printing Inc., before retiring. Ida a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, found her greatest joy being with her family and enjoying life with them. Her family was her life. Ida's presence brightened their lives and every room that she entered.
  Ida's funeral will be held Thursday, June 19th 2008, from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. with a mass at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family Wednesday June 18th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
