Subscription Update Obituary

   Homer “Skip” S. Tillson, 75, of Twine Rd., died on Monday, April 20, 2009 in UMass Memorial Healthcare, Lake Avenue, Worcester, after a brief illness.

   He leaves his wife of 31 years, Mary A. (Luksha) Tillson; five sons, Homer S Tillson and his wife Dianne of Fl., Edwin P. Tillson of NH., Clyde M. Anderson and his wife Sandra of Spencer, Richard J. Anderson of CO., Lyndon P. Anderson and his wife Markara of Fitchburg; a daughter, Charlene M. Anderson of Sterling; a brother, Bruce Tillson and his wife Lucy of NH.; a sister, Ethel Molesky and her husband Anthony of NH.; eleven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A sister, Mariam Tillson predeceased him. Skip was born in Middleboro, son of Homer S. and Dorothy (Staples) Tillson, and lived in Gilsum, NH., before moving to Sterling 34 years ago.

   Homer was a truck driver for Modern Dispersions in Leominster retiring in 1999. He also drove for Novacor Corporation in Leominster. Mr. Tillson was in the Air Force, serving during the Korean Conflict. Homer was also a proud member of the Hiram O. Taylor American Legion Post 189 in Sterling.

   Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, April 23rd, and on Friday, April, 24th, From 10 to 11 a.m. followed by a funeral home service at 11 a.m. in the Miles-Sterling Funeral Home, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sterling Fire Dept., Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 515, Sterling, MA. 01564, and/ or ARC Community Services, 564 Main Street, Fitchburg, MA. 01420.
