Subscription Update Obituary

     Helen B. (Bodurian) Ostlund, 93, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Giragas and Surophe (Arslanian) Bodurian.

Helen was raised in Worcester and lived most of her adult life in Holden. She worked as a secretary for Heald Machine Company where she met her husband, Harry Ostlund. She later worked for many years for B. A. Sundin and Son Builders in Holden. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Holden and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved taking care of her home.

Helen was predeceased by her husband, Harry Ostlund in 1988. She is survived by her son, Harry J. Ostlund of Holden; her daughter, Cynthia R. Bowman and her husband, Peter of Melrose; her granddaughter, Olivia R. Bowman; her sister in law Ellen Bodurian of Falmouth and Ann Murphy of Melbourne FL as well her nieces and a nephew. She was predeceased by her brothers, Malcolm Bodurian in 2014 and Edward Bodurian this past June.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 29, at 11 am at Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Ave., Paxton. . In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden St., Worcester, MA 01606. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden is assisting the family with arrangements.
