Gloria Ann “Glo” (L’Heureux) Fournier, 93, of Auburn, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, November 17, 2023 with her loving family at her side. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Henry L. Fournier, in 2001.

She leaves her children: Laura J. Lake and partner John Ingelis, of NH, Steven H. Fournier, of Shrewsbury, Linda S. Brooks and husband George, of Webster, and Henry L. “Hank” Fournier, of Auburn; her grandchildren: Patrick J. Lake and wife Carrie Ann, of Woonsocket, RI, Jessica M. Rhoades and husband Michael, of Topsfield, ME, Kimberly A. Brooks, of Webster, Jennifer M. Prescott and husband William, of Worcester, and Owen P. Derry, Sr. and wife Rose, of Worcester; her great-grandchildren: Windsor Brooks and wife Victoria, of Newburgh, IN, Grayson Rhoades, Lilly Rhoades, McKenna Rhoades, all of Topsfield, ME, Reece Prescott, Owen P. Derry, Jr., and Tatum Derry, all of Worcester; her great-great-grandchildren: Reilly Brooks, Brecklyn Brooks, and Tatum Brooks, of Newburgh, IN; along with many, many nieces and nephews. Glo was predeceased by her brother, Richard L’Heureux; and their parents, Roland A. and Ingrid (Danielson) L’Heureux.

Glo was born, raised, and educated in Worcester – she then worked, for several years, for Heald Machine Company, where she met her beloved Henry. The pair were married, and began raising their family together in Rutland and Shrewsbury.

In her free time, Glo loved playing piano, so much so that she dedicated her time to teaching others the beautiful instrument. She even wrote her own music, including a lovely song dedicated to her late husband, “Memories of You.” Glo also enjoyed oil painting.

She was a woman of great faith.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Glo’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org/donate).

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the Fournier family from 10 – 11 AM on Friday, November 24, 2023 at the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central St., Auburn, with a service to follow at 11 AM. Burial will be held at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
