Gertrude E. (Hebert) Desrosiers, 75 of Worcester, passed away on Monday, June 4th in the Saint Francis Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Desrosiers was married to the late Paul R. Desrosiers who died in 1980. She is survived by a son, Paul J. Desrosiers and his wife, Christine of Paxton; a daughter, Deann M. Wisuri and her wife, Misty of Fitchburg; a sister, Gail Newton of Leominster; 7 grandchildren, Kerri (Desrosiers) Grouf and husband Matthew, Korey Desrosiers and his wife, Ashley, Kevin Desrosiers, Christopher Desrosiers, Candice Lavoie, Maddox Wisuri and Jaxx Wisuri and newly born great granddaughter Leah Desrosiers along with many nieces and nephews. Gertrude was born in Sutton, MA daughter of the late William W. and Vivian D. (Wood) Hebert and is also predeceased by a son, Wayne Desrosiers.
Gertrude retired from Wachusett Family Eye Care where she worked as an office manager. She had very fond memories working for Dr. Neil Casey, because he treated her like family. Gertrude previously worked at Central One Federal Credit Union and the Worcester Telegram & Gazette.
Mrs. Desrosiers was a talented art and crafter and enjoyed crocheting, doing jigsaw puzzles and crossword puzzles. However, Gertrude was the happiest when she was spending time with her family, especially when she was sitting on her front porch watching her grandchildren play outside. She especially enjoyed her Sunday visits from her grandsons Maddox and Jaxx. She would light up seeing them. She loved her hugs and kisses from her “boys”.
Funeral services are being held privately and under the direction of Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Worcester. Memorial contributions in memory of Gertrude may be made to One Mission 69 Milk Street, Suite #300 Westborough, MA 01581.
