Subscription Update Obituary

     Genevieve T. “Jean” (Laukaitis) Berry, 85, passed away on March 20, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospital after a brief illness.

She was born in Worcester to the late Peter and Olga (Direvilis) Laukaitis. She graduated from Girls Trade High School and went on to work as a seamstress at Ricky Bra Company. She retired as a Certified Nursing Assistant from the Odd Fellows Home twenty years ago and enjoyed caring for people. Genevieve liked sewing and crocheting. In earlier years, she loved to vacation at the beach and travel to the mountains of New Hampshire. She also enjoyed many trips to the casino with family and friends. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking for family, friends, and anyone who stopped by to visit.

She is survived by her daughter, Robin Logan; her daughter in law, Susan Berry; her sister, Nancy Brosnan; sisters in law, Grace Fulginiti, Dorothy Laukaitis, Antionette Laukaitis; brothers in law, Anthony Mazzone, Vincent Cox, Glen Geraway; five grandchildren, Erica Logan, Keith Logan, Jr., Matthew Logan, Timothy Berry, Kyle Berry; one great grandchild, Aubrey Benoit; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

She is predeceased by her husband Robert S. Berry, Sr., and her son Robert S. Berry, Jr; siblings, Alphonse Laukaitis, Daniel Laukaitis, Edward Laukaitis, Beverly Cox, Patricia Geraway, Eleanor Mazzone, and other close family members that have passed away before her.

Visiting hours will be on Thursday March 24th from 9:00am until 10:30am at FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 West Boylston St., West Boylston. A Liturgy of the Word will be held at 11:00am following the visitation at St. Christopher Parish, 950 West Boylston St., Worcester. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Worcester County Food Bank, 474 Boston Turnpike, Shrewsbury, MA 01545.
