Subscription Update Obituary

Gail M. (Tower) Nichols, 67 of Worcester, passed away on Friday, September 15, 2023 at home after years with Parkinson’s Disease.

Gail was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Harold and Blanche (Cyr) Tower.  She graduated from Doherty High School and has resided in Worcester all her life.  Gail worked most recently as an administrative assistant with UMass Medical Center at University Campus. Previously she had worked at Cameron International for 6 years and Babcock Power for 10 years.

Gail’s husband of 31 years, Randy Nichols passed away in 2010.  She is survived by three daughters, Jennifer Nichols, and Michelle Nichols of Worcester with whom she lived and Sara Nichols of Conway, SC; a brother, Thomas Tower of Worcester; a sister, Carol A. Smith of Auburn.  She is predeceased by two brothers, William, and Steven Tower.

A graveside service for Gail will be held on Monday, September 25, 2023 at 11:00 am at Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Ave., Paxton. MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.
