Frank Watkins Jr., 67 of Worcester unexpectedly passed away Thursday, January 18, 2024. Frank is survived by the family he loves so much, his loving, devoted wife of 44 years, Karen L (Spring) Watkins, his son; Jason L Watkins of Worcester, MA, a son Nathan T. Watkins predeceased him, his brother; Charles Watkins of Worcester, MA, a brother; James Watkins predeceased him, his brother in laws; Donald, George and Jeffrey Spring, his sisters; Linda Watkins of Chiefland, FL, Patricia Watkins-Sports and her husband Jerry of Maryland, Gloria Watkins and her partner Ry of Groveland, FL, Kendra (Clarke) Ofori Amanfo and her husband Kwaku Ofori Amanfo of Worcester, MA, his sister in laws; Donna Spring and Cheryl (Spring) Barnwell, his grandsons; Javon Watkins and Darius Givins, his great grandchildren; Noah, Jaziah, Maelani and Darius Jr., his mother in law; Beverly Spring and his step father in law; Bennie Thornton. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Frank was born in Eustis, FL, and was 10 years old when he moved to Worcester, the son of Frank Watkins, Sr. and Anna Mae (Rome) Watkins, his parents predeceased him. He graduated from Holy Name Central Catholic High School in 1975. He attended Nichols College before enlisting in the U.S. Air Force (Reserves) 1977-1988. He was a Lead Finish Inspector and Trucker at Wyman-Gordon Company, before retiring after 43 years of service in 2021.

Frank was a member of United Steelworkers of America, a MIAA & Youth Football Referee, coached Pop-Warner football for the Worcester Crusaders/Worcester Cowboys, Actively played racquetball at YMCA and Worcester Fitness, an avid golfer, he loved to play basketball, football, go fishing, play cards, travel, watch sports and dance. Frank will be remembered as a loving family man, and loyal friend. His presence in the community will be deeply missed, but his impact on others will be fondly remembered forever.
