Francis (Fran) James Joslyn, beloved husband of sixty-six years to Jacqueline (Jackie) Joslyn, leaves behind four daughters: Karen (Howard Rappaport), Patty (Larry Babic), Judith (Dave Parisi), and Laurie (Buddy Cohrs). He also leaves nine grandchildren; Jesse Crossman, Dylan Crossman (Anika Lofts), Clay Babic, Thea Babic, Todd Monroe (Caroline Duffy), Sean Monroe, Nicole (Aaron) Gagnon, Ben Rappaport (Megan Kane), Sara Rappaport (John Roberts), and two great-grandchildren; Daniel and Elizabeth Gagnon, and one more on the way. He leaves two surviving siblings; Vincent (Judie) Joslyn and a sister, Evelyn Covino.

Fran was born to Clarence and Florence (Thiffault). He was one of four siblings. He married Jackie (Jarvis) on May 30, 1955; they made their home in Shrewsbury, moving to West Boylston (Petticoat Junction) with their growing family. They later moved to Worcester, then Florida, before returning home to Massachusetts, where they lived at The Shillman House in Framingham. Fran worked in the printing industry for many years, primarily working in customer relations. He died after several months of declining health.

Found amongst his paperwork; a quote from Edmund Courtenay. “I expect to pass this way but once…if, therefore, there be any kindness I can show or

any good thing I can do to my fellow beings let me do it now. Let me not defer it, or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.”

Fran served the Air Force from 1951 until his honorable discharge in 1957.

He loved his family, the beach, golf, traveling, and their four-legged companion Angel.

He loved to read and was interested in history. A man, who when you asked the time would happily build you a clock. He was ever so proud of his children and grandchildren’s accomplishments and dreams.

There will be a private graveside service at a later date to celebrate his life.
