Subscription Update Obituary

     Evelyn J. (Gagen) Beaudette, 75, of Lake Avenue, died Sunday, September 20, 2015, at the Rose Monahan Hospice Residence in Worcester. She was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Robert J. Beaudette of Webster who died in 2003. She is survived by three children, Susan M. Brooks and her husband Philip of Cherry Valley, Mary A. Stevens and her husband Ron of North Oxford, and Mark A. Beaudette of Webster; a brother, James Gagen of Cherry Valley; a sister, Shirley Harris of Charlton; five grandchildren, Philip Brooks Jr., Matthew Brooks, Angela Belhumeur, Jason Brooks, and Thomas Stevens; four great-grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a daughter, Ann Marie Beaudette who died in 1973; a brother, Francis Gagen; and two sisters, Ann Ward and Clara Evans. She was born in Leicester, daughter of the late Daniel and Clara (LeBlanc) Gagen, and lived in Leicester before moving to Webster in 1995. She graduated from Worcester Girls Trade High School in Worcester.

Mrs. Beaudette worked at the Hermitage Nursing Home in Worcester for 10 years. She was currently working at Mike’s Laundry in Worcester. She enjoyed traveling, camping, crocheting, playing Bingo, and especially loved spending time at the beach.

A funeral will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2015, from Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. at Saint Aloysius/Saint Jude Parish, 489 Pleasant St., Leicester. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Calling hours are Wednesday, September 23, 2015, from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rose Monahan Hospice Residence, 10 Judith Rd., Worcester, MA 01602.
