Esther M. (Mahoney) Keenan, 90, of Worcester died Sunday, June 28 in Holy Trinity Nursing Center.

Her loving husband of 51 years, Arthur L. Keenan, Sr. died in 1997. She leaves two sons, Richard Keenan and his wife, Judy of Worcester and Lee Keenan, Jr. and his wife Beth of Shrewsbury; two daughters, Barbara Keenan-Asiaf of West Roxbury and Kathleen Keenan of Colorado Springs, CO; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gertrude Benoit of Worcester and Patricia Mahoney of South Attleboro; and a sister-in-law and devoted friend, Betty Mahoney. Esther worked for many years at Vernon Drugstore and then at the Westboro District Court, before retiring. She was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church.

The last 20 years of her life was centered around her children and grandchildren. Her great-grandchildren brought a “special joy” to her remaining days.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Joanne Lee, who took wonderful care of our dear mother for many years. Also we are deeply grateful to Holy Trinity Nursing Center and their hospice program for the kindness and loving care that was extended to our mother.
