Mr. Elverton Samuel Bishop Jr. (also known as Buster to family or Al to friends) passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday May 12th in his home by natural causes.

Al leaves his loving wife and best friend of twenty eight years, Sandra Bishop, a daughter, Cindy Cunningham, a son, Brian Laskowski, three grandchildren, Brianna Laskowski, Kyle and Kailey Cunningham; a brother, Dennis Bishop and his wife Donna, two nieces, Angelene and Alexandra, many cousins, and his adopted dog, Zoey.

Al was born January 28, 1944 in Worcester, Massachusetts a son of the late Elverton S. Bishop Sr. and Antoinette (Colacchio) Bishop.

He was a graduate of Commerce High School, class of 1962 and later attended Worcester State Jr. College. He served his country in the United States Army.

For many years he ran the family contracting business, E.S. Bishop Associates. He later was a buyer for Zayres, a department manager for Warwick Shoppers World, and worked in retailing at Sears and Lowes.

Al was an avid fisherman throughout his life and took great pride in his five foot trophy sailfish hanging on his wall. He enjoyed gardening and many sight seeing trips with his wife Sandy. During his younger years on Allston Ave. he became a car enthusiast with his friends, Sena, Sweeney, Moore and Lodi. Also during his wild younger years he made a point to spend time with friends and family, Phil and Franny amongst many others at the Lord Vasil Club. Al is happy to leave all those wonderful memories with us.

Calling hours will be on Sunday, May 17th from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at FAZIO FUNERAL HOME, 9 Branch St, Worcester. A prayer service at the Funeral Home will follow at 3:00 pm. Burial will be private at a later date. Funeral arrangements under the direction of Louis M. Fazio Jr. and Louis M. Fazio III.
