Ellen was born and raised in Worcester daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Agurkis) Foley. She graduated from Ascension High School.
She had worked at Reed and Prince Manufacturing for over 30 years before she retired.
Her husband Herbert T. Mawdsley, Sr. died in 2009. She leaves her children, Elizabeth A. Wade of North Brookfield, Herbert T. Mawdsley, Jr., and his wife Linda of Shrewsbury and Richard J. Mawdsley and his wife Mary of Worcester; nine grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Agnes and Mary; a brother, Charles; and son-in-law Carl Wade.
Funeral services and burial for Ellen will be held privately. BRITTON-SHREWSBURY FUNERAL HOME, 648 Main St, Shrewsbury is assisting the Mawdsley family with arrangements.
