Subscription Update Obituary

     Elizabeth “Betty” M. Kompel, 86, formerly of Themeli Court, died Sunday, September 6, 2015, at the Carlyle House in Framingham. She was predeceased by her husband of 35 years, William F. Kompel who died in 1996. She is survived by her son, John F. Kompel and his wife Elaine of Webster; her daughter, Linda M. Lefebvre and her husband Richard of Hudson; three grandchildren, Amy Peterson and her husband Christopher, John Kompel Jr., and Andrew Kompel; three great grandchildren, Max, Natalie, and Brett Peterson; and several nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Walter and Minnie (Blair) Reedy, and lived in Worcester, Oxford, and Streamwood, IL, before moving to North Oxford in 1996. She graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester in 1946.

Mrs. Kompel was the cafeteria manager at Oxford High School for 20 years, retiring in 1989. She was a member of St. Ann’s Church in North Oxford.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Carlyle House for the special Care given to Betty.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at St. Ann’s Church, 652 Main St., North Oxford. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Calling hours are Wednesday, September 9, 2015, from 9:00 – 10:15 a.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, prior to the Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Carlyle House, c/o Activities Fund, 342 Winter St., Framingham, MA 01701, or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
