Subscription Update Obituary

Elaine Mae Stidsen, 87, passed away peacefully weeks shy of her 88th birthday on November 14, 2021.

She was born in Worcester on November 30, 1933 a daughter of the late George and Marie (Duff) Stidsen. Elaine attended local schools and following graduation she began work with the former Woodbury Letter Heads Company where she was employed for 43 years until her retirement in 1994.

Elaine was a longtime member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church where she volunteered her time freely. She was an accomplished cake maker and spent much of her time crocheting gifts for family and friends. Throughout her life she made many trips to Bermuda for vacation with her brother and sister-in-law.

She leaves behind many that will miss her dearly including her brother, Kenneth W. Stidsen of Worcester; her sister, Marie Robert of Worcester; many nieces, nephews, extended family members and her closest friend and neighbor, Connie Dee.

Besides her parents, Marie was predeceased by her siblings, George Stidsen, Jr., Earl A. Stidsen and Shirley Goodhue.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life on Wednesday, December 1st with visiting hours from 2:00pm until 4:00pm at the Lindquist, Fay & Lundin Life Celebration Home, 36 Butler St., Worcester. Memorial contributions should be considered to the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 200 Greenwood St., Worcester, MA 01607.
