E, I'm so grateful you've been in my life first as a great friend but then becoming a sister I never had. Thinking back early on we had some great times working at DPW (that's where we first met right after high school). We had a lot great times out on town from dancing to roller-skating, etc with our work colleagues and/or blending our own friends to join us. So many laughs, great times & memories. Lucky brother Starsh when I decided to introduce him to you as I felt it was a "perfect match" knowing you as I did and lucky me to have you graduate to family member. These past few years you have been so brave, determined and stayed so positive & upbeat through all your treatments and various trials. I told you many times, if I were in your shoes I probably would have thrown the towel in not wanting to fight the fight (that's just me) but not you and how awesome is that -- you beat the odds by your perseverance putting your trust in your doctor and in your faith in God. You told me numerous time you were worried a lot knowing the odds of making 5 years was only 30% but look here is it 9 yrs and 7 mos. later and big milestones occurred after you made the 5 year mark I'm sure surprising even your oncology team -- Kim and Katie married followed by 3 grandchild not to mention all trips abroad and within the country family and/or good firiends. Mom and dad always told me they lucked out having you as a daughter-in-law. They couldn't have asked for anyone better. You were right there always ready, willing and able to help Starsh and I when their health deteriorated - so selfless of you and me being so grafeful for the offers even after your health setbacks-- that didn't stop you from stepping right up. You had a great run with this awful cancer and although you've been cheated insofar as having another 25-30 (using mom and dad as an example), at least the time you had here was so fulfilling from childhood through the day you crossed-over. Great husband/daughters-in laws/grandchildren, trips (too many to mention) and so knowing this although I'm lost without you I do feel better knowing the years were filled with joy and happiness throughout. I miss you - I think of you daily and one day, I'll see you on the other side. Love M.A. / friend & sister-in-law
