Subscription Update Obituary

     Edward T. Owens, 71, died Sunday, March 10, 2019 after being stricken at home. He was born in Worcester, the son of the late Tracy Owens and Alice Slingo.

Ed leaves his devoted wife of 47 years Louise (Curtis) Owens; two daughters Amanda Bowles of Barre, and Libby Murphy of Hubbardston; 8 siblings Kevin, Chester, Ronnie, Helena, Barbara, David, Fred and George. He was predeceased by a brother Jimmy. Ed was also the proud grandfather to 3 boys, Kylian Bowles, Lachlann Owens and Tighearnach Bowles all of Barre and he will be mourned by several nieces, nephews, cousins, many wonderful neighbors and friends.

Ed graduated from Leicester High School and worked at Heffernan Press as a printer for 22 years before going into custodial work. He was enjoying retirement, especially his involvement with the Hubbardston Senior Center.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 15,2019 from 1-3PM in Pillsbury Funeral Home 96 S. Barre Rd in Barre. Burial will be held at a later date in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.
