Edgar “Ed” W. Lizotte Sr., 91, died peacefully on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at the Worcester Health Center.  He was born and raised in Worcester, the son of Alfred A. and Mildred L. (Shackett) Lizotte and later lived in Auburn for over 40 years before moving back to Worcester in 2008.

Ed was predeceased by his loving wife of 70 years, Priscilla R. (Davidson) Lizotte in June of this year. He will be lovingly remembered by his son, Brian Lizotte of Southbridge; his daughter, Linda Hodgdon of Worcester; his grandchildren, Robert B. Hodgdon Jr., Shawn Lizotte, Kirsten Camarra and her husband, Jonathan and Justine Caron and her husband, Patrick; nine great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. His son, Edgar W. Lizotte Jr. died in 1999.  Besides his son, Ed is predeceased by his brother, Philip; his sisters, Delores, Betty Mae and Louise, and his great granddaughter, Chloe.

Ed attended Worcester Schools and proudly served in the U.S. Army during WW II.  After returning home from his military service, Ed met the love of his life, Priscilla, and they were married.  Ed was a member of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades for over 40 years.  During his career he painted for several companies including Cole Brothers and Lizotte Painting.  Ed enjoyed fishing and was an avid Celtics fan.  He always had a great sense of humor and truly enjoyed making people laugh, especially the ladies.  Above all he treasured his beloved Priscilla and his children and grandchildren.

The Lizotte family would like to thank the staff at Worcester Health Center for their exceptional job caring for Ed during his stay.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a calling hour from 11 to 12 noon followed by a funeral service on Monday, August 27th at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden.  Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richard’s Ave., Paxton.
