Subscription Update Obituary

     Donald E. Dame, 79, of Worcester, died on Tuesday, October 27th in UMass Memorial Medical Center – Memorial Campus after an illness.

Mr. Dame is survived by his wife of 58 years, Janice M. (Hacker) Dame; two daughters, Joanne Joly of Worcester and Cathy Lynne Lovely of Auburn; two sons, Jeffrey M. Dame of Worcester and Kenneth D. Dame and his wife Cindy of Princeton; a brother, Robert Dame of Hull, MA; 8 grandchildren, BJ Joly, Sean Sullivan, Jamie Joly, Kelly Sullivan, Andrew Dame, Kayla Casiello, Tiana Dame and Allie Dame; 7 great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.

Don was born in Worcester, son of the late Everett and Cosette (Angers) Dame. He served in the United States Naval Reserves and retired from Custom Coating and Laminating where he worked as a foreman in the shipping department. Mr. Dame previously worked for Reed Roll, Thread and Die Co.

Don was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose in Marlborough, Tatnuck American Legion Post #288 and a lifetime member of the Worcester Lodge of Elks #243. He was also an avid bowler and golfer.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 31st at 10 AM in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 30th from 5 to 8 PM in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to either the National Fibromyalgia Association 1000 Bristol Street N.
