Subscription Update Obituary

     David P. Koskie, 90, of Worcester, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2016 in his home. His wife, Wanda (Naumiec) Koskie, died in 2008. He is survived by a son David T. Koskie and his wife Betty-Ann, his daughter-in-law, Cheryl Koskie with whom he made his home; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a daughter Janet Koskie; a son, James Koskie; grandson, Paul Koskie; siblings, Anna Recos, Nellie Craven, May Bernard, Nora Koskie, Anthony Koskie and Steven Koskie. He was born in Worcester, a son of Thomas and Mary (Paulekas) Koskie.

After retiring, Mr. Koskie worked for Spag’s Company as a security guard and prior to that he worked at the Big D Supermarket. He worked as a machinist for many years at Heald Machine- Cinncinati Milicron Company and he retired in 1985. He also worked at Victoria Dairy, Bell Company and Brown Shoe. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II serving from 1944 to 1946. He graduated from North High School. He was a member of Our Lady of Vilna Church. He and his wife Wanda enjoyed bowling and golfing together for many years.

The funeral will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2016 from HENRY – DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., with a Mass at 12:00 p.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours in the funeral home will be on Thursday, June 2, 2016 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Notre Dame Hospice, 557 Plantation St. Worcester, MA 01605.
