David P. Gleason, 24, of Worcester passed away tragically, Saturday July 23, 2022, when he was struck by an oncoming car while riding his motorcycle.

David was born August 1, 1997, in Worcester, the son of Rosemary D. Gleason and the late David Salo. He graduated from Burncoat High school. David then accepted a position as a mechanic with the Patrick Motor company where he has worked in various positions, presently in sales with Patrick Mazda.  At onetime, David worked for a time for Autobahn Corporation and Valvoline Corporation.

David is survived by his mother, Rosemary;  his girlfriend Kaitlin Luccarelli; half-brothers, Christopher and Scott Salo; stepfather, Edward Niziolek; his god parents, Ellen Landry and John Gleason; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

David was a fun-loving young man with a very bright future cut short.   He loved working for the Patrick Motor Family and his co-workers.  Always with a bright smile, quick wit and firm handshake, David was the life of any party; his arrival would light up any room.  He was dedicated to helping people, whether at work, on the street or a friend in need.  Never saying no.  David was also a video game enthusiast, finding peace with his XBOX.   He enjoyed his life after work, coming home to spend time with his kittens, Moonlight, Yoda, Fathead and Myers, as they followed him around while preparing supper for him and Kaitlyn.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend calling hours, Friday, July 29th from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St.  His funeral will be celebrated Saturday July 30th at 10:00 am in St John’s Church 40 Temple St (those wishing to attend please go directly to church) Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Genesis Club Inc, 274 Lincoln St Worcester.
