It is with great sadness that we share David Edward Pottle, Sr. passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at the age of 64. David was born in Worcester, MA on June 6, 1959 to James R. Pottle, Sr. and Maureen E. (Kane) Pottle.

Along with his mother, Maureen, David is survived by three children: David E. Pottle, Jr. (wife Rachel) and their children, Ryker and Elliot, of Webster, MA; Justin J. Pottle (wife Liz) and their children, Dakota, Irelyn, and Mina, of Webster, MA; and Jillian L. Pottle (fiancé Howie Reynolds) and their children, Taryn, Kierstyn, and Patrick, of Southbridge, MA. Taryn is the proud mother of Aaliyah, David’s great-grandchild.

David also leaves behind his three brothers, James R. Pottle, Jr. (wife Kathy) of Cape Coral, FL, Stephen G. Pottle (wife Margaret) of Worcester, MA and Kevin C. Pottle of Cape Coral, FL, as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his father James R. Pottle, Sr.

David grew up in Worcester, MA, where he graduated from Worcester Vocational High School. David spent time in many different careers over the course of his life, including time spent at Heald Machine Company and Wyman Gordon, as well as traveling for various companies as a truck driver. He spent time living in North Carolina and Florida before finally returning home to Massachusetts.

David was a kind-hearted and spiritual person, who had many interests, including his Harley Davidson motorcycles, music and being outside in nature. David had a true love of life and enjoyed every moment. He loved his children, grandchildren, and entire family immensely.

David’s family wishes to thank the staff at The Arc of Opportunity in North Central Massachusetts, and especially the staff of their group home in Spencer, where David lived following his motorcycle accident.

At David’s request, there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Immaculate Conception Parish, 353 Grove St., Worcester, MA 01605 on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 11 a.m., followed shortly thereafter by a burial at Worcester County Memorial Park at 217 Richards Ave., Paxton, MA 01612.
