Subscription Update Obituary

Daniel “Dan” Joseph Harrold, 43, of Oxford, died suddenly from medical complications on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge.  He is survived by his wife of 9 years, Alicia (Mott) Harrold of Oxford; his son, Nathan Harrold of Oxford; his father, John Harrold of Hudson; his brother, John Harrold Jr. of Devens; his sister, Amy Sardnola and her husband Jim of Sutton; one niece and two nephews, Holly Sardnola of Sutton, and Leonard Mott and Nicolas Mott, both of Miami, FL; his father- and mother-in-law, Andrew and Nancy Mott of North Oxford; and his brother-in-law, Andrew  Mott Jr. and his wife Evgenia of Miami, FL.

Dan was born in Concord, son of John Harrold and the late Mary (Donovan) Harrold, and lived in Hudson before moving to Oxford 10 years ago.  He graduated from Assabet Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School, and received an Associate of Science – Computer Information Systems degree from Quinsigamond Community College.

Dan was a systems administrator at ClickRSVP in Milford for the past two years. Over the past 20 years he has held various positions in the computer and information technology field.  He was a member of the Auburn Elks and enjoyed listening to music, bicycle riding, and spending time with his family.  His son was his greatest pride and joy. Dan loved animals including his cat, Lulu.  Dan was quick to help family and friends in any way he could, especially so when called on with technical or computer issues.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 10, 2023, at St. Roch’s Church, 332 Main St., Oxford.  Those attending are respectfully requested to meet directly at the church.  Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.  Memorial calling hours are Thursday, March 9, 2023, from 5-8 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3 Speen St., Suite 250, Framingham, MA 01701.
