Dane M. Murphy, 32, of Spencer, died unexpectedly on Monday, August 24, 2015 at home.

He leaves his mother, Gisele A. (Langlois) Murphy and partner Patrick Hayden of Cambridge; his father, William B. Murphy and wife Robin Murphy of Upton; his brother, Ryan L. Murphy of Portland, OR and his loving Aunt Donna McCance and extended family of many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by all 4 grandparents, Sylvio and Jacqueline Langlois and William and Lee Murphy. He was born in Nashua, NH January 11, 1983.

Dane graduated from Silver Lake High School in Pembroke, attended Bunker Hill Community College and worked as a machinist on electric motors. He loved the outdoors – fishing, camping, hiking and long walks with his rescue dogs.

Calling hours will be Thursday, September 3 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, Worcester, followed by a service at the funeral home at 7:00 pm. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Survivor Tails Animal Rescue
