Subscription Update Obituary

     Craig E. Binette, 48, of Oxford passed away unexpectedly Monday, January 11th.

Craig was born in Worcester one of eight children of Eugene J. and Jean (Bourassa) Binette. He grew up off Lincoln St, graduated from Worcester Vocational High School with a focus in cabinet making and New England Tractor trailer institute. He had lived in Worcester and Oxford for many years before moving recently. Craig worked many years as a professional truck driver for various companies before becoming disabled.

Craig is survived by the family that loved him so much; His 20 year companion, Margaret “Peg” Ambrose; his parents Eugene J. and Jean (Bourassa) Binette of Worcester; Margaret’s children he considered his own, Sarah K. Ambrose of Maynard and Andrew M. Ambrose of Vero Beach, Florida; his seven siblings, Richard J. Binette of Oxford, Raymond L. Binette of Worcester, Jeanine Publicover of Paxton, Joseph J. Binette of Mashpee, Sue Ellen M. Fairbanks of Cherry Valley, Ronald A. Binette of Thompson CT, and Robert H. Binette of Shrewsbury; Many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Craig was a true United States Patriot. He followed, was active and would debate politics with whoever wanted to. He worked on the campaigns of former Senator Scott Brown. Craig loved target shooting and defended the 2nd amendment rights. He was also a New England Patriots Fan. Most of all he loved Peg, the kids, his parents and his large family. Holidays and special occasions when they were all together made him the happiest.

Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family TODAY, Thursday January 14th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. His funeral will be held Friday, January 15th from the funeral home with a procession to St Joan of Arc church, 570 Lincoln St where his funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.
