Subscription Update Obituary

      Cody E. Gouveia, 21, of Pawtucket , R.I., formerly of East Meadow, N.Y., and Worcester, Ma., died Tuesday July 12, 2011 in the Eleanor Slater Hospital, Cranston, R.I.
He leaves his mother and step father, Leanne (Berthiaume) Trottingwolf and Ed Trottingwolf, his father, Robert Gouveia, two sisters, Amber A. Gouveia and Kelly A. Gouveia, a step brother, J.C. Trottingwolf and a step sister, Cherokee Trottingwolf. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother Anne Berthiaume, his paternal grandmother and grandfather Amalia and Anthony Gouveia and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Cody was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Edward Berthiaume. He was born and raised in Worcester and later lived in East Meadow, N.Y., and Pawtucket. Cody graduated from East Meadow High School and attended the New York Institute of Technology, Architecture program. He was a passionate skateboarder and enjoyed creating art through pencil sketch graphic design.
Calling hours for Cody will be held on Sunday, July 17 from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. in DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton Street The funeral will be held on Monday, July 18 from the funeral home with a Mass at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph Church, Holy Family Parish, 35 Hamilton Street. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cody Gouveia Memorial Fund, in care of Robert Gouveia, 46 Olive St., Pawtucket, RI 02860.
