Subscription Update Obituary

Charles Raymond died peacefully on October 26, 2021. He leaves his wife of 36 years Patricia Sears; daughter Linda Benedict of Oxford, MA; son Keith Sears of Northport, FL; three step daughters: Diana MacLeod of East Falmouth, MA; Dawn Waskevich of N. Brookfield, MA and Kristen Pappas of Auburn, MA; 9 grandchildren: John Sears; Gena Sears; Zachary and Jonah Bake; Alison, Duncan and Tynan MacLeod; and Derek and Dominic Pappas; 2 great grandchildren: Aiyanna, and Harlan. He was predeceased by his son, T. Scott Sears and brother Thomas Sears.

Charles was born March 4, 1938 in Worcester, MA, son of Thomas M. Sears and Mildred H. Sears. He attended Commerce High School and studied mechanical engineering at Northeastern University. He owned and operated his own business, Tech Edge, manufacturing blades for over 14 years. He then continued to work in the industry as a consultant for several years.

He loved his dogs and enjoyed spending time on or near the ocean… He spent many years sailing and boating on his treasured vessels – Pisces.

A memorial service in his honor will be held Friday, September 2nd at 1:00pm. at First Congregational Church, 1070 Pleasant St., Worcester, MA. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Ave., Paxton, MA.
