Subscription Update Obituary

     Carol A. (Watson) Sheehan, 78, of Oxford, formerly of Worcester and West Boylston, died Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus, after a brief illness. Her husband of 48 years, Kenneth F. Sheehan, died June 12, 2012.

She leaves a son, Terence P. Sheehan of Lake City FL; 4 daughters, Erin M. Van Epps of Plantsville, CT, Tara A. Holmes and her husband Christopher of Auburn, Kelli L. Pierangeli and her husband Robert of Douglas, Kerri A. Sheehan of New Bedford; a brother, Edward Watson of North Berwick, Maine; 4 grandchildren, Mikaela, Rylee, Garrett and Maeve; 2 step-grandchildren, Christina and Christopher Jr.; and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves many friends, including her life-long friends, Jim and Penny Rogers. A brother, Robert Watson of Shrewsbury, predeceased her.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Joseph L. and Margaret M. (Doyle) Watson. She grew up in Shrewsbury and was a graduate of Shrewsbury High School and the former Worcester City Hospital School of Nursing.

Carol worked as a registered nurse for many years until she left work to raise her family. She later worked for several years at Allmerica Financial until she retired. She most enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

CALLING HOURS will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on MONDAY, MAY 14, at KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln Street. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 10:30 A.M. on TUESDAY, MAY 15 in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton, MA.
