Subscription Update Obituary

Carmen Paniagua, 73 of Worcester passed away on Saturday, November 4th at UMass Memorial Hospital. She leaves two sisters, Marisa Alban and her husband, Ted of Worcester and Wanda Gonzalez of Worcester; two brothers, Angel Luis Gonzalez of Worcester and Juan Gonzalez of Pittsfield; 13 nieces and nephews; and 29 grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Eva and Elizabeth; and three brothers, Pedro, Julio, and David.
She was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico the daughter of the late Pedro and Carmen (Anglero) Gonzalez. She received a bachelors degree and then worked as a PCA in hospitals in Boston and Worcester. Carmen was a lover of Jesus and was a member of The Church in Worcester. She enjoyed reading the bible, cooking and sewing. She was a natural caregiver – although she gave birth to none, she was a mother to many.
Her graveside service will be held on Friday, November 10th at 11:00 am in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue, Paxton. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is assisting the family with arrangements.
