Subscription Update Obituary

     Brenda Hargrove, 60, of Marietta, GA, passed away on July 4, 2019 at her home. She leaves to mourn her two sisters, Lorri Hargrove also of Marietta, GA, and Fannie Hargrove of Worcester, MA; two brothers, Derrick Hargrove and Danny Hargrove also of Worcester; six nephews, Robert Speight of Marietta, GA, Mario Hargrove, Kyle Hargrove, Nicholas Hargrove, Sheldon Hargrove and Marcus Hargrove; and a niece, Kayla Simmons all of Worcester, MA; three grandnieces and one grandnephew, aunts, uncles, and many cousins and friends. She was born in Tuscaloosa, AL, the daughter of Mathis N. and Rosa B. (Irving) Hargrove.

Brenda was a proud graduate of North High School in Worcester, MA. and attended Newbury Junior College in Boston, and Marymount Manhattan College of New York, where she majored in fashion design. Brenda had been employed as an Optician with Dorfzun Eye Group for many years. Brenda enjoyed the quiet pleasures, often curling up with a good book or spending time with her beloved pets. Her pets Roberto and Cici preceded her in death. Her dog Peedy is left to mourn her passing

Her funeral will be Saturday July 13, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. at O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester, MA. A visitation period will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the servce. Burial will take place at Worcester Memorial Park, Paxton, MA. A short repast will take place at the American Legion Post 318, 180 Greenwood Street, Worcester, MA.
