Subscription Update Obituary

     Bernadette V. Courchaine, 86, of Worcester died Wednesday, May 2nd in the Christopher House. Her husband of 37 years, Roy H. Courchaine died in 1989. She leaves two sons, Roy A. Courchaine and his wife, Cindy of Auburn and James E. Courchaine of Worcester; a daughter, Paula S. and her husband, Russell Winchell of Plymouth; two sisters, Irene Ostergard and Alice Belanger both of Worcester; six grandchildren, Roy Jr., Nicole, Kyle, Samantha, Matthew and Andrew; three great grandchildren, Corey, Kennedy and Charlotte and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by six brothers, Robert, Norman, Emil, Gerard, Edward and Lionel; and two sisters, Jeanette Elia and Dorothy Gish.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of Albert and Leontine (LaForest) Belanger and graduated from the former High School of Commerce. She was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church. Bernadette was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.
Calling hours are Tuesday, May 8th from 9:30 until 10:30 AM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue followed by her funeral Mass at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
