Barbara (Dixon) Steuterman, 79 of Worcester was reunited with her beloved late husband of 50 years, David Steuterman, on Friday, September 8th.

Barbara leaves behind her son, Stephen Steuterman of San Diego, CA; her daughter, Cheryl Millett of Spencer MA; her grandchildren, Zachary Millett of Spencer MA, Caitlyn Riedle of Holden MA, Alex Shilvock, Shane and Dylan Steuterman all of San Diego, CA; and a great grandson, Luca Millett. She also leaves behind her sister Lorraine, and brothers, Samuel, Robert, Richard and Paul.

In addition to her husband David, she is predeceased by her parents, Samuel “Joe” Dixon and Lorraine (Lessard) Dixon, and her son-in-law William Millett, Jr.

Barbara loved being with her family and especially adored spending time with her grandchildren and bringing them to Hampton Beach every summer and visiting San Diego every year. She enjoyed ceramics, reading, watching General Hospital, and doing her daily crossword puzzles. She was an avid Patriot’s fan and loved to visit with family and friends over a cup of hot tea.

Barbara attended South High School, where she was crowned Prom Queen in her senior year. She previously worked at Big D until becoming a grandmother and then spent her time caring for her grandchildren. She then became a bus monitor in the City of Worcester so she could enjoy summers off and then worked at UMass Hospital until retiring.

Family and friends are welcome to gather on Thursday, September 14th at 10:00am with a funeral service beginning at 10:30am in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 100 North Pkwy, Worcester MA 01605.
