Subscription Update Obituary

     Armand A. Jolicoeur, 91, of Worcester, died Saturday July 18, 2015.

He leaves his wife of 68 years, Yvette A. (Gagnon) Jolicoeur, his children, Elaine M. Gingras and her husband Leo of Rutland; Susan R. J. Elliott and her husband David of Oxford; Alan A. Jolicoeur and his wife Denise of Worcester and Dennis A. Jolicoeur and his wife Laurie of Palmetto, Fl, a sister, Jeanne M. Beauregard of Worcester, and sister-in-law Irene (Gagnon) Jolicoeur of Westboro; ten grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and many nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Leo, Aime, Hervey, Alfred and Raymond. He was born in Worcester, a son of the late Hermenegilde & Regina (Boudreau) Jolicoeur and lived here all his life.

Mr. Jolicoeur was a truck driver for more than 20 years for Iandoli Markets. Before that he worked for his brother Aime at Jolicoeur’s Service Station. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and served as a Torpedoman’s mate on the USS Cummings in the Asia-Pacific. Armand was a member of St. Joseph Church – Holy Family Parish and was a member of the Harmony Club. He enjoyed playing cards, especially cribbage, and was a member of the St. Joseph Bowling League. Armand was a gentle man devoted to wife and family, enjoying especially the little ones to his last days.

The family thanks Jewish Healthcare and in particular Reverend John Pastor and Hospice Nurse Renee Hebert for their comfort to Armand and support of family in saying a peaceful goodbye.

The funeral will be held on Friday July 24, 2015 from Dirsa Morin Funeral Home, 298 Grafton St., with a Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Joseph Church, 35 Hamilton St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Funeral home calling hours will be Thursday July 23, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the International Rett Syndrome Foundation, P.O. Box 706143, Cincinnati, OH 45270-6143 or to the Alzheimer’s Association , 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02474.
