Subscription Update Obituary

     Alice F. (Hocking) Duncan passed away with family by her side on Tuesday, November 17, 2015-her 77th birthday. She leaves her beloved husband of more than 50 years, Maurice R. Duncan; a daughter and two sons, Tamara Price and her husband Troy of Gardner, Michael Duncan and his wife Diane of Charlton, and David Duncan of Worcester; a brother, Jack Hocking and his wife Jane of PA; a sister, Marjorie Chrisafis of NJ; six grandchildren: Scott, Michelle, Chad, Alyssa, Max, and Amber; three great-grandchildren: Katherine, Avayah, and Cian; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to raising her own children, Alice fostered many children through the years. She was born in Dover, New Jersey, daughter of the late Anna (Buchanec) and Abraham Hocking and was a graduate of Morris Hills Regional High School. Alice was a member of the DAV Auxiliary and she enjoyed gardening.

Calling hours will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street on Thursday, Nov. 19, from 4-7pm. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, Nov. 20 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Boston Children’s Hospital, 401 Park Drive, Suite 602, Boston, MA 02215.
