CHARLES R ANDREWS

   Charles R. Andrews Sr., 52, of 426 Leicester St., formerly of Shrewsbury, died July 18, 1992 in a drowning accident in Manchaug Pond in Sutton.He left three sons, Charles R. Jr. and Wayne A. Andrews, both of Shrewsbury, and Joseph M. Andrews of Leicester; two daughters, Lynne M. Young and Susan M. Lillie, both of Webster; his father, Charles W. Andrews of Worcester; a brother, Allen Andrews of Barre; a sister, Theresa Andrews; his former wife, Virginia Woods, both of Worcester; six grandchildren; nephews and nieces.    He was born in Worcester, son of Eleanore (Johnson) Andrews, and lived many years in Shrewsbury and 12 years here. He attended Shrewsbury High School.Mr. Andrews was a self-employed carpenter, and owned and operated the former C&L Builders here. He was previously a superintendent at Granger Corp. in Worcester.He was a member of Local 107, Carpenters Union, in Worcester.   Funeral services were held in Nordgren, Carrigan, Mangsen Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St., Worcester. Burial was in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
