Clarisse A. (Daigneault) McGrath, 81, of Bancroft House Healthcare, 835 Main St., formerly of 11 Lake Ave., died yesterday afternoon in St. Vincent Hospital after a long illness.
Her husband, Joseph F. McGrath, died in 1979. She leaves two sons, Joseph F. McGrath Jr. of Winchester and Earl R. McGrath of Webster; three daughters, Margaret I. Donahue of Worcester, Phyllis A. Masterson and Rita C. MacCallum, both of Grafton; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She was born in Southbridge, daughter of Narcisse and Celina M. (Poirier) Daigneault, and had lived here most of her life.
Mrs. McGrath was a bundler for many years at West Side Laundry, retiring in 1972. She previously worked for many years at Union Overhall Laundry. She was a member of St. Stephen’s Church and the Lincoln Towers Social Club.
The funeral will be tomorrow from Morin Funeral Home, 298 Grafton St., with a Mass at 9 a.m. in St. Stephen’s Church, 357 Grafton St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours in the funeral home are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.
