WILLIAM C MORRIS

William Charles Morris, 73, of Rutland, MA, passed away on November 27, 2025. Born on May 14, 1952, Bill was known for his resourcefulness and sociability, always ready with a solution or a story to share.

Bill graduated from Worcester Academy in 1970 and earned an Associate’s Degree from Worcester Industrial Technical Institute. He pursued various careers, working as an electronics technician, mechanic, and a Mac Tools salesman. In his later years, he delivered flowers and car parts, eventually retiring as a school van driver.

Throughout his life, Bill was passionate about music and electronics, dedicating much of his time later in life to his train hobby. He is survived by his wife, Greta Morris; his children, James Morris and his wife Laurie of Barre, MA, and Jenny Bercume and her husband Bryan of Rutland, MA; his sister, Holly Morris of Germantown, MD; and his cherished grandchildren, Thomas, Oliver, and Lennon. His nieces Alicia and Elizabeth, both of MD, also survive him. He was predeceased by his parents, Lois Morris Mann and Charles Morris, along with numerous aunts, uncles, and close friends.

In lieu of public services, the family will hold a private memorial. The family would like to express gratitude to Bill’s teams at Dana Farber, UMASS, and Rose Monahan Hotel Hospice for their kindness and support.
