Debbie Harden 69, who was a woman of profound faith, resilience, and humor, passed away on Sunday, April 13th, 2025 in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loved ones. Her unwavering spirit and compassionate nature left a lasting impact on all who were privileged to know her. Born on December 16 ,1955 to Robert E. Hopkins and Frances (Sylvestris) Hopkins, Debbie embraced her Italian heritage and the values instilled by her beloved parents, who preceded her in passing. She was a widow from her late husband Lions Harden, whom she lost in 2004. Debbie shared a steadfast partnership with Malcolm Carter, her loving companion of over thirty years. Debbie was the cherished mother to her son Justin Harden and daughters Natasha, Trista, and Katrina Harden, and her late daughter Courtney Harden, who passed away two years ago. As a devoted matriarch, she raised her grandchildren—Jurell, Elijah, and Shanna—with unmatched love and care. Her family includes 21 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, each a treasured part of her legacy. A private person by nature, Debbie found immense joy and peace in her connection to the natural world. She loved tending to her garden and found solace in the gentle embrace of the ocean and the sandy shores of the beach. Her spiritual journey and Godly character served as a source of inspiration to all who knew her. Debbie’s humor and strength carried her through life’s challenges, ensuring she faced them with courage and grace. Debbie’s services will be private, in accordance with her wishes. Her memory will continue to live in the hearts of those she loved, and her legacy of strength, faith, and love will inspire generations to come.
