ROBERT W THERN SR

Robert W. Thern, 80, of Brookfield, passed away Tuesday in Quaboag on the Common. He leaves his wife of 40 years, June F. (Pollard) Thern; a son, Robert W. Thern, Jr. of Germany; five daughters: Rosemary Kadelski of Brookfield, Phyllis Davis of TX, Karen Statman of Wilbraham, Paula Earle & Susan Spence both of North Brookfield; 14 grandchildren & 10 great-grandchildren.

Robert was born in MT. Vernon, NY, the son of William & Helen (Demuth) Thern and has lived in Brookfield for over 55 years. He was a graduate of Leicester College and owned & operated Tri Town Bottled Gas Co. for over 20 years before he retired in 1984. The funeral for Mr. Thern will be held on Friday, Oct. 27, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in Pillsbury Funeral Home, 44 Gilbert St., North Brookfield. Burial will be private for the family. A calling hour will be held on Friday morning from 10-11 AM in the funeral home.
