Priscilla Cirillo, 82, of Worcester, died Monday, March 15, 2021 at the UMass-Memorial Medical Center. Priscilla was born in Worcester, MA on February 17, 1939, daughter of John Lane and Phyllis Lane (later Phyllis Gilligan). She lost her husband, Leonard E. Cirillo, just a few short months ago. They enjoyed 58 years of marriage, happiness and fun together. She leaves three children, Julie Egli and her husband Randy of Holden; Michael Cirillo and his wife Bertha Elena Rojas of Paxton; and Amy Cirillo and her husband Michael Tocci of Holden. She also leaves five grandchildren, Timothy and Will Egli; Aiden Cirillo; and Matthew and Daniel Lyubchik. Priscilla was also loved as a daughter by Joseph and Mary (Daly) Johnson, and as a sister by their children, Mary Clancey (d. 2017); Louise Nally; David Johnson (d. 1988); and Maureen Johnson. She graduated from Saint Peter’s High School in Worcester in 1957 and was awarded her R.N. three years later when she graduated 4th in her class from Worcester Hahnemann Hospital School of Nursing. She was a psychiatric nurse for many years at Worcester State Hospital, West Side House, and Memorial Hospital, and then worked as a researcher at Fallon for several years before retiring in 2002. Priscilla enjoyed gardening, taking care of her many gorgeous house plants, decorating her lovely home, entertaining, conversing and laughing with family and friends, and spreading kindness and warmth. She had numerous friends whom she loved and who loved her dearly, as did her children, her children-in-law, her grandchildren and her other relatives. There will be no wake due to Covid. Burial in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton will be private. The Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester, is directing arrangements. |
