     Muriel (Carlos) Anderson, 93, of Worcester passed away peacefully home to the lord, Thursday, October 11, 2018 with loved ones gathered at her bedside.  She joins in heaven, two sons, Charles F. Carlos, and Kim L. Anderson, two daughters, Diana G. Jones and Allison Anderson, as well as eight siblings.Muriel the last of nine children of the late Charles F. Carlos, Sr and Tenah (Certain) Carlos was born in Worcester on November 20, 1924.  At the age of six, Muriel moved to Camden South Carolina where she was loved, nurtured and raised by her Aunt Dinah.   Ten years later, she returned to Worcester, working at various job positions before becoming a stitcher with Davies Handbags where she remained several years, before retiring

Muriel is survived by, six devoted children, Barbara C. Harris and her husband Harold, Alan C. Anderson, Gayle E. Anderson, Janice Anderson, Robert R. Anderson and his wife Gloria, and Curtis W. Anderson, Jr. with whom she lived; 13 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren; Many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.  Muriel was pre deceased by her stepmother, Hazel Carlos and nine siblings, five sisters, Cornelia, Harriet, Wilhelmina, Carrabelle and Eugenia, three brothers, Phillip, Charles Jr. and Horace; two step sisters, Vivian and Evelyn. .

She enjoyed playing cards, crossword puzzles, country, western music, game shows and cooking especially her antipasto which people loved.  Family was important to Muriel and the greatest moments in her life were spent with and around her family especially holidays, Family outings and special occasions.

Funerals services for Muriel will be held Saturday, October 20th, 2018 at 10:30 am in The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.  A period of calling hours will be held from 9:30 am to 10:30 am in the funeral home prior to the service.  Flowers may be sent, or memorial contributions made to the National Kidney Foundation, 209 W Central St, Natick, MA 01760
