L.THERESA SCOTT (GRZYB)

     L. Theresa (Grzyb) Scott, 88, of Worcester died peacefully in Christopher House, 10 Mary Scano Drive on Tuesday, April 14, 2015. Her husband, Stanley H. Scott died in 1971. She is survived by her daughter, Donna M. Morse and her husband Kevin of Worcester, and many nieces and nephews including Deborah Karn of East Harwich, MA, Jay Grzyb of Greensboro, NC, Dawn Catherine Campbell of Charlotte, NC and Marcia Harrington of Enfield, CT. She is predeceased by siblings, Arthur, Helen and Joseph Grzyb and Felicia Jonitis. She was born in Worcester, a daughter of Joseph and Josephine (Bujak) Grzyb.

Mrs. Scott graduated from Worcester Girls Trade School and Goddard School of Nursing, Boston. She began her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the former Doctor’s Hospital in Worcester, later working in the office of Dr. Seidenberg and then retiring from the former Providence House Nursing Center. She was an active member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the American Legion, Quinsigamond Post 318. Theresa was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church. Of all her past times, she most enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015 from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St. with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours in the funeral home will be on Friday, April, 17, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
