PHYLLIS M. COTE (DAY)

     Phyllis M. (Day) Cote, 96, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, September 13, 2013. She is predeceased by her former husband Edward Smith and her husband Bernard A. Cote in 2002 . She leaves a son, Robert Smith & his wife Rhonda of Mystic, CT; two daughters, Barbara Flood of Worcester and Sandra Boucher & her husband Robert of Dunnellon, FL; a brother, Leverett Day & his wife Rebecca of Auburn; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; a daughter in law, Theresa Smith of Worcester and many nieces & nephews all whom were very special to her and she loved dearly. She was predeceased by a son Daniel Smith; 2 sisters, Dorothy Day and Pauline Cossar & her husband Hollis; 2 brothers, Leland & Duane Day & his wife Shirley.
     Phyllis was born in Caribou, ME the daughter of the late Hezekiah & Gladys (Nicholson) Day and lived in Spencer before moving to Paxton where she lived for over 60 years. She worked at the Paxton Center School and Anna Maria College in food service for many years until she retired. She was a member of the Paxton American Legion Ladies Auxillary. Phyllis enjoyed camping, sewing, knitting, baking and most of all spending time with her family.
     Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family on Monday, September 23, 2013 from 9:45-10:45 AM followed by the funeral at 11:00 AM in Pillsbury Funeral Home, 163 Main St., Spencer. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.
