Virginia (Maloney) Trotta Bonner, 83, a resident of Parsons Hill Nursing Center in Worcester, died Wednesday, February 20, 2013 in the UMass-Memorial Medical Center.
Her husband, John A. Trotta, Jr., died in 1969. Her second husband, Harold W. Bonner, died in 1996. Her son, John A. Trotta III, died on July 4 of last year.
Virginia leaves a son, Bruce Trotta and daughter-in-law Doreen Trotta; a grandson, Bruce W. Trotta, Jr., all of Worcester; a granddaughter, Stephanie Nazarey and her husband Pradeep Nazarey; two great-grandsons, all of Shrewsbury, and many nieces and nephews. Her brother, Edward Maloney also predeceased her.
Virginia was born in Worcester, daughter of Edward A. and Mary E. (Carney) Maloney. She grew up in Worcester and lived in Millbury for many years before returning to Worcester.
There will be a calling hour on Tuesday, February 26 beginning at 10 a.m. at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
