ROGER M. CHAGNON

     Roger M. Chagnon, 81, formerly of Millbury, died Sunday, December 30, 2012 in Hadley at Elaine Care and Rehabilitation Center. He is survived by two sons, Joseph R. Chagnon and his wife Inson of Amherst; Ronald R. Chagnon of Portland, TX; three grandchildren, Michelle Hirschkorn, Clovis, NM, Rene Chagnon of Amherst, Nicole Chagnon of Round Rock, Tx; one great grandchild; two brothers, Paul and Edward Chagnon of Whitinsville, MA, and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Richard and Norman Chagnon and two sisters, Mildred LeBlanc and Claire Boulay. He was born in Worcester, a son of Joseph and Rose (Dumont) Chagnon.
     Mr. Chagnon worked as a paper cutter retiring from Avery Dennison Company in 1993. He was a veteran of the US Army during the Korean War era serving in Germany.
     The funeral service will be held on at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 9, 2013 in DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St, Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, January 9, prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home.
