MANUEL M. DELGADO

Manuel M. Delgado, 80, of Worcester, died peacefully December 18, 2011 in the Holy Trinity Nursing Center surrounded by his loving family. His wife, Lucia (Torna) Delgado died in 1996.

Manuel is survived by two sons, Marcial Delgado and his wife Colleen of Worcester, and Jose Delgado of Cuba; one daughter, Angela Trafecante and her husband Michael of Shrewsbury; two sisters, Marta and Amalia, and a brother, Luis Delgado all of Cuba; five grandchildren, Stephen Balmforth-Delgado, Matthew and Kaylyn Delgado, Dimitri and Julia Yantsides, and several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews here and in Cuba.

Manuel was born September 28, 1931 in Cuba son of the late Jose and Angela (Garcia) Delgado and came to this country in 1966. He worked for the former Phalo Plastics Company for many years and retired from the Belden Corp. where he was a lease manager. Manuel enjoyed fishing, going to Cape Cod, and loved the Red Sox.

A funeral service for Manuel will be held on Monday, December 26, at 11:00AM in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Interment will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
